Question before i weld

The manifold i have for my ka24e-t is like the JGS one except that it has no flange for a wastegate and the flange for the turbo is in the middle.The only space i have to weld a flange on for the wastgate is on the top of the manifold. So my question is would the dump gases hurt the turbo any since its right next to it?

No, you can place the WG flange wherever on the manifold and it will be fine. Your best bet is to place it closest to the collector, but anywhere on the log in reality is fine.

O ok, but even so would it hurt the turbo with the vent gases so close to it?

You don't want to vent the wastegate under the hood at all. You want a pipe that either dumps out under the car or connects to the exhaust.
