some (or one of you) know that i got a new HU on ebay, needless to say its golden..... Perfect shape, and we'll see how it works... Should look nice in the dash.....

So i decided to get on of those adapters that cost like $50, and a direct plug in from bose to an aftermarket head unit..... Even though its cheapter to get a metra harness, and that kind of deal, id rather pay the money and have it be basically plug and play... However that didnt work out too well.. I found a place online, and then noticed it was in ANDERSON, IN.. So i was like, this is golden, i can run down to the store (which i mapquested) which is like 5mins away, and pick it up when i get it... So i called today, and said that they have no way of taking my money, so i have to have it shipped even though its about 5 miles from my house..... That angered me very much, and I probably wont buy from them now.....

Anyway, now i just have to figure out if Im gonna get one of these harnesses, id like to pick one up locally (indy area), anyone know of a place in indy that has them?

Also, i want to know what the difference is between these 2 things

http://www.partsexpress.com/pe...5-611

and

http://store.yahoo.com/logjam/piehrcniss.html

That first one is a harness that plugs right into bose harness, and then i splice that..

The second one looks the same, except im paying $50 for it.....

why are you going to keep the Bose amps? I hope that you are going to be replacing the Bose speakers!

If you arnt, then your whole install is literally a waste. I mean, there is going to be no difference in sound output if you use the bose amps and speakers!

Also, if you were going to keep the Bose amps, why didn't you just replace the speakers and keep the OEM HU? That would make alot more sense to me

I have to agree. Those bose speakers and amps are crap. If you replacing the head unit you might as well get some nice 6x9s for the back and 6.5 components for the front. If you insist on keeping your bose speakers then the cheap harness is all you need. Just make sure you connect the remote wire on the harness because thats what triggers the bose amps to turn on. Here is a website that should help you out if you already dont have it.
