well YOU have to decide between the SR and the KA. This has to be the most discussed topic around here. Check out this thread.http://www.nissaninfiniticlub....11636

With the SR, you'll pay about $3000 for the motor/clip. A KA turbo kit will cost close to $4000. I hope you can take it from there.

Me, I plan on going with the KA-T if I ever get my 240. I mean, hell, it's already in the car.

Give me a couple grand. I'll getcha more power than Kevdog...

I know what you mean but when your looking for big power and high boost on the KA you need better internals... which is going to put me way over the 6000 budget. The SR swap would run me $6400.. includes.SR red top.APEXi N1 exhaust.GReddy Vspec FMIC.Hot pipe.TurboXS RFL bov.fuel pump.greddy down pipe.air intake, electric fansgreddy boost gaugeSPEC stage 2 clutch.batteryand misc stuff to do the swapand labor cuz im not doing it even though i want to.. just no time.

You got a long way to go. Or you can take $2000, send your dad to Hawaii for a week and swap the Z06 motor with yours before he gets back...I guarantee you will win...

Well that setup is gonna allow you to run about 12-14 psi (rough estimate) on the stock t25. And run a high-mid 13 in the quarter. really doesn't sound like too much fun to me for 6400 bucks. And you definatly won't beat a zo6 (12.6 stock) without upgrading the turbo and getting bigger injectors.

But hey what do you expect us to say over here in the ka-t section. :) lol

im planning on doing a KA-T project this summer. i get out of school in 2 weeks and am starting it by buying a new clutch and flywheel then go to the turbo parts. basically i havent made any final decisions but am leaning towards a:

-t04b-tial 35mm wastegate-manifold (?)-FMIC from http://cgi6.ebay.com/ebaymotor...olers (you know a good place not on ebay for this?)-piping from him too (or a shop in the area. gotta talk to shops)-hks blowoff valve (?)-walbro 255-APEX AFC-II(upgrade injectors and rail later and get a boost controller)

i think i remembered everything. the thing im most worried about is getting all the wiring right since i dont have that much knowledge of doing this stuff (like all the sensors and that stuff and where they go) and setting up the fuel system when im done. i dont want to blow the KA!

Holy s***, WD, I live in Pensacola... I might actually get to meet the legendary WDRacing. Go for Pensacola, considering that both places have massive deposits of old people, P'cola has a nice sized import crowd, and, believe it or not, not all of them are ricers.

Yeah I used to live in FWB in 93-97. Spent most of my time in Destin though. P-cola was to far to drive to hit any clubs.

But I already put in for FL, AZ and NV so we'll see where the USAF decides I need to go. The FL area don't have a friggin 1/4 track near by, The 1/8 is for f***.....I'm really wanting to get into the local race to make a name for myself, put out a good reputation for my work and my cars.

Only time will tell, I'll be out that way doing all the NICO meets anyway, doesn't matter where they stick me.

KevDog, the wiring for a SAFC is really easy. My mom could wire one up. The rest is fairly straight forward, oil/water lines and such for the turbine. If your looking for a cheap I/C then check out the local junkyards, make sure you look in transport trucks, alot of those are turbo diesel, so they should have a nice sized I/C.

Ahhh....give me the same amount of money your going to use to get an SR20DET up to speed with the Z06 and I guarantee to have a faster KADET.

You can get an RB25DET in your car for four grand if you don't mind doing the work yourself. That should be enough power to not get slaughtered by the vette, if your talking about beating him in anything other than a straight line, take the other 1,500 and put it in the suspension :) Then you'll have a chance. But be those Z06s are fast, saw one at the autocross last weekend, it was flying. Also, if you want to beat it, become the better driver. Practice makes the difference
