heyi have some questions regarding tuned ecu'son ebay they are selling some mines tuned ecu's that are said that they can run a s14 or s15 turbo on the stock 370cc injectors, is this a good idea?the tuned is said to run the turbo at 1.1bar.does it use the stock maf?also what gains in hp can look foward with this setup?the car will be a track car/drift car its pretty light already is this a good setup for me?

with stock injectors and 15 pounds of boost. you can still use the stock ecu and get maybe upwards of 260 - 270 ?

or maybe less.

i dont know how much 1.1 bar is in psi.

or just do it right, and get the maf - 550cc injectors - and a not so shady ebay rom tune.

because thats a little suspect.

I'd stay away from those ecu's unless they can tell you all the changes made. My nephew runs 16 psi with a S15 turbo on his redtop. He's still running the stock ecu, stock MAF, and stock injectors. Not the smartest thing to do, but he's been driving it like this for about 2 years now without a problem.

awhile back i heard afew things about using a JDM tuned ecu, in japan they use better fuel, from the pump there octane rating is higher then 91 (ca other states can be alittle higher, lucky) so when you use an ecu tuned with better fuel, on our crappy american gas it wont run right and you will run into problems. just spend alittle more money and do it right, you dont want to hurt anything bad and have to spend more money on repairs then doing it right
