im going to purchase the greddy vspl frmic kit for my s13.

i saw somewhere that it has a nipple on the lower side of the hot side pipes.

i see from heavy throttle i can get a hotpipe w/flange and hks super sequential bov and it says "No Nipple"

would these two purchases work out best with each other?

please explain in simple newb terms

You need a nipple on the hotpipe. If you don't, you will have no way to get a boost signal for the wastegate on that setup.

When I ordered my hotpipe w/ greddy type s flange, HT suggested that I order their steel hotpipe w/ the nipple.

I have the greddy vspec along with the greddy hotpipe and there is no nipple on the hotpipe, but the lower charge pipe has a big nipple thing for the factory bov

The stock turbo, T25, also has an internal wastegate. The wastegate itself needs a charge signal from the IC piping to the WG.

What I was saying is, the Greddy V-SPL has no vacuum nipple anywhere, only that 1" fitting for the aftermarket bov. Whatever hotpipe you get, you WILL need a nipple to get the boost/charge signal.

thanks for the good avdice guys.

it must have been some other intercooler install that i was looking at that had a nipple on the charge pipe, oh well.
