in some of the posts, i saw that some of you made the tires stick out abit and it doesnt look that sunken in. know what i mean?

how did you guys do that? is there like some hardware you have to buy?

How far the wheel 'sticks out' depends on it's offset.

Offset is the distance of the wheel's mounting surface (meaning the flat surface that mates to your brake hub) to the center line of the wheel's width. The offset value is typically given in mm. So for example, a +30 offset means that the mounting surface is 30 mm towards the wheel's outward face. Similarly, a -10 offset means that the mounting surface is 10mm towards the wheel's inner face.

Generally speaking, a higher offset wheel will appear more sunken in than a lower offset wheel. To determine what offset makes a wheel flush or poke for a specific car, you'd also have to take into account the wheel's width and the car's distance from hub to fender.

There's a wheel thread sticky where you can see how a variety of wheels fit the Altima coupe. Around +35mm (depending on wheel width) is flush for the coupe.

If you already have wheels, you can add spacers to change the effective offset. Spacers usually come in increments of 5mm.

yes!! offset and spacers were the words i was looking for but forgot.so i have stock 16". a +35 would fit the coupe?also, spacers are generic for all cars or there are specific ones i should use for the coupe?

16" is the wheel diameter. You also need to know the wheel width.

Since you already have the 2.5S with 16" wheels, you can determine for yourself what offset would make the wheels flush. Just take a ruler and measure the perpendicular distance between the wheel face and the face of the fender. Round that down to the closest increment of 5 and that's what spacer width you'd need.

Spacers are generic for a particular bolt pattern. Since the coupe has a 5x114.3 pattern, you need to get spacers with the bolt holes in that corresponding pattern.

LOL DON'T BUY THOSE PLEASE!!!

reason ichiba or project kics spacers are expensive is because they have embedded studs and do not take away tread from your stock studs.

By getting a simple metal piece that goes over your OEM studs (like the cheap-o spacers posted above) you are losing thread for your lug nuts to grip the wheels to your hub. More pressure on studs = things breaking = wheels falling off = possible death on a highway.

I have project kics (very similar to ichiba v2s) spacers on and I can tell you that without those studs they come with, my wheels wouldn't stay on, there's just not enough room to fit a spacer and still be able to tighten the lugs on.

Go for the ichiba's or don't get anything at all, trust me.

P.S. if they're too expensive, I suggest looking for some used spacers, I see people selling them all the time as they upgrade wheels and need new size spacers, they go really cheap used, almost half the price.... I have mine on for almost half a year and theyre still brand new condition.

Those universal spacers will fit and they may be fine for only 5mm, however, I would consider spending the money on the solid spacers. You have to remember that this spacer will be the only thing mating your wheel to your hub so you want to maximize the surface contact. Also, since you lose the matching bore between the hub and wheel you may experience noise, wobbling, vibration and at worst your wheel could come off.

If you are going more than 10mm definitely get the solid spacers that have their own studs.
