if i upgrade to 19'' rims what kind of tires should i get?

im not looking hardcore 400$ a piece racing tires, just good solid tires for so cal weather that will handle well but also have durability.

the tirerack site says tire size is: 225 45 17- im assuming the 17 is for the rim size; so if i got 19" rims i'd have to get 225 45 19. Is that correct?

it also says you can have different size for rear tires, i would assume wider. Does anyone have that setup? how much better is performance?

If i do get new tires what width size is best compared to the stock 3.5s?

*edit* Now it says stocks are 215 45 17

one thing not mentioned is since the car is FWD get the same size tires and wheels all the way round, so getting wider tires for the rear is pointless.

it does, thanks.

seems like 19" is the best choice, style and comfort.

anyone know where to get the best deals on tires/rims? tire rack is still gonna cost me 1500.00 to get decent sets.

either tirerack or discount tire usually have the best deals and convenience.
