i have 17x7 +40mm wheels layin around, and i got 255/50R/17 tires layin around. my vert is dropped with tein s tech's so its about 1.22"/1.44" of a drop. i put the tires up to my car to see if they'd fit without rubbing at all and it looks very questionable. do you think those tires would fit without rubbing? and do you think the tires will fit on the wheels ok? i currently have the stock 15's on my car but i got brand new wheels and brand new tires sittin around so i'd like to use em. any thoughts?

255 on a 7 inch wide wheel? That more than likely won't work and if it did it would look really funny. Those tires are around 27" tall, and stock I think is around 25". With those offsets they would probably rub on the strut for sure. I would get differnent tires if you want to run those wheels.

Go with 215/45/17 tires on the 17x7 rims.
