I've got some old school 15x10 alloys that I scored for my 521 pickup. The plan is to go with a ratrod/oldschool tuner look for the truck. I'm lowering it, tossing on some ZG flares, and fitting up the wheels. Affordable tires seem to be hard to come by that will fit the wheels I've got. So I'm wondering, will 225/50/15's be any sort of realistic fitment or will they be so stretched that they will look stupid.

Thanks

225/50's are almost meant for 15x10s!

Seriously? You think it will fit decent without looking cartoonish? If so I'm probably going to order a set up. I need to get cracking on my truck.

Here's the truck as it sits

And the old school turbine wheels

And the fitment....flares are needed big time haha

Stretch = ghey.

However, that's about the best you can find for that size wheel.

Exactly. There aren't 235's or 245's readily available and there's no way I'd clear something like 265 up front, i'm going to have fitment issues as it is. So as much as I'm not about stretched tires, it looks like that's the route I'm going to have to go.

Also, since you replied, you know anybody who's got a set of ZG flares sitting around?

that's coming from the same guy that said Rhianna looks like a man... haha

anyways, the stretch looks subtle, esp because the sidewall is so large.

here's a pic for reference...
