Since I got a great deal on the coils for the Q, I am going to change the plugs with them. What kind of plugs do you recommend? I heard bosch ones are not good?

Also what is the gap supposed to be in the plugs?

If I was you I would get OEM from Joe.

I believe the gap is the space at the end of the spark plug and the little wire type thing that bends over the end....Sorry, I dont really know how to explain it but I guess that is the best I can do. I'm sure the Q experts know the right term for it.

get the OEM NGK plugs from Joe and DO NOT adjust the gap.

Put them in the car and be happy. OEM plugs do not need gap adjustments, and non OEM plugs can destroy your motor.

There is no gap to worry about. Factory NGK it is..... take out of box, insert in car, press gas pedal fully.

TCS and throttle body plates. EGR and Iac valves. Have the new gaskets.

Y33 i cant help you but its not nearly as bad as a G50... why would you change injectors on a Y33 anyway? Coils should be slightly easier due to there being no coil pack cover and overall easier to get to.

Because I have that hesitation and "jiggling" problem if I hit the gas like 20-60% in, I either have to floor it or do under 20 to not feel it. Well I am going to change the coils first see if it helps then do the injectors.

Always checking the gap even with brand new plugs isn't a bad idea. Shipping is rough on things. Anyone happen to know specs?

Not if they are shipped in OEM containers.

11 refers to 1.1mm. You may will alter the paralellism of the gap if you do not have a professional gapper.

Agree, check the gap with a round-wire gauge-my recent factory plugs were either spot on,or close when I tested them before Byron installed them last week.

By the way,the old plugs with 132,000+/- miles on them came out easily and all looked fine-no oil or carbon fouling, uniform light grey insulators,no erosion to electrodes-would have made it to 150,000+ on them, but valve cover gaskets were slightly weeping only when cold, and have been for the last 3-4 years-figured I would get em done along with plenum while I was in Atlanta
