Question about the rear view camera

I have a 2011 Rogue AWD with the factory Nav unit pictured below and was wondering if anyone knew of a way to turn the rearview camera on without being in reverse. On my old Kenwood you could press a button for several seconds to turn it on anytime. I was wondering if was an equivalent press of a button on this unit

There is no way to activate it manually. Even Nissan technician's have to place the shifter in reverse to diagnose any backup camera issues.

However, if you are handy you could tap into the reverse switch wiring and activate it via a switch. All of the wiring info is in the manual here:
