Question about the orange cabin LED light

This was mentioned in another post that it comes on when the headlights are on. I always wondered what that hole was in my map light/moonroof control panel. I've never seen a light coming from there, so I'm wondering if there is a separate switch that enables/disables it.

Also, do you actually see a bulb set in there (more outside the plastic housing), or is it set underneath? I'm wondering if mine is just broken or outright missing.

You are probably looking at the hole that contains the microphone for hands free bluetooth

The bluetooth speaker has a slated grille, not a hole.

The light hole is to right of the sun roof button. It is ovalish. It comes on only with the headlights and creates an amber/orange glow which is very faint and shines down on the console. It only comes with the premium package. On the package it is called the "illuminated center console".

If you have the premium package, then you have it, it not, you don't. If you have it and it does not come on when the headlights are turned on (you should be able to see the little light come on even in daylight) then you may need to have it looked at.
