We've all seen the headlights on Ebay for sale that have the halos around them when the parking light are on. Does anyone know if you can replace the halo when they burn out? Do you have to buy a whole new headlight?!?! Or do they more or less last forever?

I searched for an answer to this, only saw one other post where it was asked, but never answered. If you can find the answer, feel free to rub my face in it.

It depends. Usually the aftermarket Halo's are just 2 LED's pointing opposite directions inside of a plastic ring. I've seen one where you can pull them out seperately from the headlight. They had a rubber plug around/ on them to keep water out. You could also change out the colors if you knew your way around a soldering iron.

This was on only one set that I saw for a 240SX. It may be different. If the ones you are asking about are the same, I woudn't worry. LED's are supposed to have lives of over 50,000-75,000 hours or something rediculous.

They were called CCFL, not LED. They claim to last 4X longer than traditional halos, presumably the LED's. Just want to make sure we are talking about the same thing.
