Just bought a 2000 q45t. When I pull the key out of the ignition the steering wheel retracts and the seat slides back as it should. When I put the key back in the steering wheel comes back to the original position but the seat does not slide back to its original spot. Is this normal? I can move the seat manually with the switches. The memory function works as well except the seat does not slide to its original spot as well but all other adjustments are made.

I had a similar problem with my '02 Q when I first bought it. Found a broken ring magnet in the position transducer on the worm screw. I was lucky to find the unit worked acceptably with a section of the magnet removed. Had no idea where to get a replacement part if it had not worked. If you can't stand the seat losing position all the time, you should be able to disable the pullback feature.

This has happened to me a few times. All I need to do was to adjust the seat height a little. If I have it all the way down or up, then it stuck in that position. Try to adjust your seat height a little, and see if it fix it.

Tried and no such luck. I'm gonna look at the electrical plugs and se if maybe something got disconnected?
