If I'm not mistaken, the 3.5 has the VQ35DE. So I'm asking can any internal part for a VQ35DE work with the altimas? Like can a camshaft that was made for a 350z (not the VQ35HR) fit an Altima 3.5?

EDIT: I have an 08 2.5 cvt thats a lease right now but I may change that to a 09 3.5 manual buy this week if the dealership is down for that. Wish me luck

Good luck, I would like a 3.5mt instead of a 2.5cvt. But hey, that's what project cars are for. This is a beautiful dd

Most likely not - while they are both VQ's, there are some differences in one being a transversely mounted engine and the other being longitudenally (sp?) mounted...but I'm not 100% sure on that... You would have to make sure you find parts from an 03-04 Z for sure, as the 05+ have the rev-up motor...

ya intake and headers wont fit because its mounted sideways but it should have the same internals like the op was asking right? like if you were to get a stroker kit from the 350z to increase displacement or cams or stronger internals to handle more boost.... honestly, i think the person who could answer this question best is Turbo Tim because he has a boosted 350z and has messed with pretty much every VQ35DE.....

Alright thanks, I'm not trying to turbo it or anything. Just a nice N/A motor making serious horsepower
