question about tension rod install

im getting these new tension rods which i need badly, and it is a pillow ball w.e. bushing. basically not a metal ball thing bushing. and iv read up that you need to drop the car first to tighten them. wondering if that even matters? if it does, does it matter that the bushings cant rip so just tighten away? thanks.

I belive that you only need to drop your car if you are installing the rubber type to keep em from ripping.
