Would like to hear about some personal experiences with the Supertech forged pistons. Do they fit on the stock rod? They are coated and use gas nitride rings...any cons to that setup (other than the school of thought about the coating forcing the heat out the exhaust and the valves pay the toll, rather than extracting the heat through the piston)?

Thanks in advance. I'll be purchasing some forged pistons/rods soon and need to do all my homework.

I've been running them for 1000miles now. At only 5PSI since I was breaking the motor in. No issues so far, but I did not use them with sotck rods... I bought some Pauter... both from ka24de.com.

I did however notice much less piston slap at cold than with the Ross I ran before... but that could also be due to block boring or something else.

No discernible differences on EGT temps... so I cannot say that the coating is making more heat leave throug the exhaust.
