All of the super charger kits say they are 100% bolt on for the G35. None of them even hint at the fact that doing exhaust is a good idea. Does this mean that their power numbers are made utilizing the OEM G35 exhaust?

Obviously doing exhaust from the heads to the bumper is a damn good idea, but why don't they mention it?

It will help, but it isn't required. Upgraded exhaust is much more important for turbo applications.

Measure the exhaust system back pressure stock and graph from 4,000> redline after the final cat. Each psi of backpressure is ~ 2HP restriction NOW.To estimate the future effect assume each PSI of boost is 6.8% [correct downward as the pressurized air heats up [100F+ is ~10% or net of 6.1%]].

So if you have 10 HP lost from 5 psi of backpressure NOW, with an 8psi of boost the stock system might lose 15HP total.

There are plenty of people picking up 15 whp with a good cat-back exhaust.

With a supercharger the benefits obviously will go up due to less back pressure.

The kits they produce are bolt on. Exhaust is not necessary but of course you will get better performance with supporting mods. Including plenum spacer, port matching, polishing, etc.
