question about super hicas controller. (1991 240sx SE)

Hello, just recently my transmission died so I am in the middle of a auto to manual trans swap,which means I am going to switch to a 93 ECU thats for a manual transmission. I was wondering if there is a seperate controller for the Super Hicas (that my car is equipped with) or is it controlled by the ECU itself?

any help would be greatly appreciated.

personally i thought hicas was controlled strictly by the powersteering pump.
