Hello everyone, im a new Versa owner and I think its a great little car and this is a great forum. I have a couple of questions though. Has anyone had problems with there a/c not working. I bought my car used with 10,000kms on it and when i took it for the test drive the a/c didn't work, they sent it to the dealer and it was fixed when i picked up. After about 3 days of driving the a/c stopped working again, you can't even here it come on also I don't know if this it normal, but does the a/c turn on whenever you turn the fan on. If I have the fan on and turn off the a/c the light stays off but when I turn the fan off and turn it back on again the light for the a/c is on. I was just wonder is this was normal and if anyone else had problems with there a/c. My other questions is about the tires , does anyone hear them squealing when they made hard slow turns? Mine does it and was I was wonder if it was normal or is there a problem with my car. Any input from you guys would be great. thanks

Yah my tires do the same thing...i think its cause the car is a FWD. As for your A/C I have no idea...i would take it back to the dealer and explain the problem. Ive owned my Versa for about 2 1/2 months now and the A/C works great. Unless its a hot day it takes a couple of minutes to get cold.

Your A/C has a leak, all the dealer did was re-charge it, causing it to work until the rest of the refrigerant leaks out. If you bring it back, demand a UV leak test, and have it fixed properly. My tires squeal if I make a hard left turn at around 10mph, not sure about right turns...

on the UV leak test, had that happen to another car. Turned out it was a slow leak in a low-pressure line, which is why they didn't see it immediately when they recharged it. But the UV dye they put in the second round of refrigerant found the leak fast.

And the Continentals that come on the V's suck in general. Use them as long as you can tolerate them, then replace them with a REAL tire.

I find the Continentals ok right now for OE tires. Since i got a new car every 2 years, they are by far the best i driven on (OE). Sure there are better tires, also, my opinion may change with wear.

yeah my tires do it to... its gotten me in trouble cause not my mom thinks i drive like dale ernhart (sry for spelling) i can take a turn at 10 MPH, and if i turn the wheel just a bit too hard, it sounds like im at a drift track, but ill be honest, ill go faster just for fun O=]

also, i have a 6 speed.... and if i do a rolling stop, and turn and stop on the gas in 1st, ill spin my tires. lol. i shouldnt be able to do that in a stock versa s! lol

On my first Versa the plant forgot to install a part (relay?) that tells the A/C to turn on when you hit the switch, LOL. Basically I'd hit the switch, the light would go on, and normal air would come out because the A/C never turned on.

Funny thing was when my father test drove the car, he put the A/C on and gunned it to check the acceleration with the A/C on and commented..."Wow, this thing hardly loses anything when you put the A/C on...what a great little car!" Little did we know at the time the A/C wasn't working, LOL!!!!
