Yea, since you live in CA, you have to pass, not only the actual smog testing, but also the visual aspect of it. This, from what I understand, is the part that the SR and RB swappers are having problems with. Since I don't live in CA, I can't tell you exactly what to do, but I would definately suggest you not swap the NA SR motor. Why would you want to go through the trouble of swapping a motor with less power (torque)? Just work on a NA KA build-up, or turbo it. I'm not trying to start the all too familiar SR vs KA debates (lol). What I'm trying to do is to explain that you're going to pass smag a lot easier with a motor that was originally intended for the car, rather than try to figure out how to pass smog w/ a motor that was built for a whole different standards of emissions.

BTW, there is another option w/ the S13 silvia headlights: the 3 projector headlights. I personally like the 2 projector, non-projector, and the 3 projector, respectively.
