Question about SR20DET in S14

We are having problems with a SR20DET red top. The car starts and runs but won't go over 3500 RPM... We think its the ecu, we are using a HKS FCD (@ 8) because it has a GP sports turbo upgrade. Where can we get an Aftermarket ECU besides Jim wolf. SARD 550 inj, 3Z MAF, GP sports T28 (bored to a T3 fan)... already has a metal head gasket etc

It keeps puffin black smoke. It has no cat full Blitz exhaust from downpipe back with a JIC test pipe. I just doesn't seem like the mixture is all that good. any help would be appreciated!

We thought that to but its the stock MAF off the S13 clip we got. That wouldn't explain the car not starting though would it? Does anyone know how to time the Direct fire ignition?

check the grounds on the maf, there is a possibility the car wouldn't start if the maf is bad. will it start, and then after several restarts, it won't?

nope. it has never started on its own. We have always had to use starting fluid. But then if we shut it off after its been running, it will turn over
