I'm getting ready to leave Italy and return to Atlanta, prior to me living in Italy I was in Japan for 4 years. Upon me leaving Japan I stripped my 2 180sx drift cars down to the shell and had everything shipped back to the states. Well lucky for me everything made it past customs and has been in storage in CA and has been stored in a climate controlled warehouse for the last 2 years. Prior to shipping all the parts I collected over my time there and my engines I just drained the oil covered and wrapped my engines. They were shipped sitting straight up and not laying on there sides. I'm just curious what type of gremlins I may encounter when I go to swap one of my two built motors into my 240. Also I had a couple of diffs shipped and I was just thinking I forgot to drain the oil out of them. I don't know if this was a good or a bad thing I was also wondering what type of effect just sitting idle would have on my clutch packs inside of the diffs. My 93 240 has been just sitting on jacks in storage since 2001 and when I was home in Atlanta last year I dropped a new battery in and it started right up and drove it to Chicago and back however I did notice that it had developed a rear main seal leak and one of the fuel injectors had died. So I'm thinking I may have some similar problems with the Sr20's or maybe worst case I’ll need to go inside the engines. I plan to install engines myself this spring and just trying to get an idea of what I may need to look for.
