I have read many write ups on the sr20 swap, and i have only one question.. I am going to get an sr20det S13 front clip. Now, that includes ECU, wiring harness, ignitor.. an entire front cut from dash up... including dash, RHD stuff.. i mean everything.. So why in all the sr20 write up's, do people still use the KA wiring harness?... I havent quite understood that yet..

the SR harness requires cutting and splicing to place the ECu on our passenger side. Also, this tends to be kinda messy unless you happen to be good at wiring. The KA harness differs from the SR harness in only a few ways, so it's cleaner to use the KA harness. It also alleviates any problems due to a bad wiring job. The main things to do when using the stock KA harness is to add the wiring for the ignitor, and then modify the MAF plug.

If you are talking about the lower transmission harness it doesnt conect to the engine harness and its eisier to use the one in your car than swap to the one in your clip.

Swap all KA sensors off the KA transmission and they should plug in fine.
