Question about Speed Sensor

SO.

I replaced the clutch in my truck a few weeks ago, I unscrewed the Speed sensor, unhooked the black harness, went to unhook the silver one (the biggest one of the 2) and it was seized so i cut the wires. then i went to put the transmission back in, got excited with my awsomeness of changing a clutch as a 16 year old, didnt hook up the speed sensor nor reconnect anything else, drove it for a day, came back, hooked everything back up. Now i dont have a speedometer SO

my question to you fellas is, is there a fuse for the speedo? I checked my haynes and all it mentioned was the speed sensor, could driving without it being hooked up be a big problem? Am i gonna need a new speed sensor? also those 2 clips, i know one is for reverse lights but i dont know what the other one is. or which one is which for matter. please explain.
