I searched but I can't find anything....

I wan't to run a nice size wheel but I don't have coilovers in the front... I want to go with 18", what width and offset can I run with the stock strut... I have coilovers in the rear but the fronts where stolen from the previous owner..

Thanks guys!

The biggest I have personally run was a 235/45-17. It has a lot to do with offset

By the way Moto, I just went through your youtube vids, and I came across the video labeled "Ricer Mustang Wannabe". . . I laughed my a** off. HAHA.

Uhh. . Anyways. . Back to the thread.

If the tires are any bigger than that, it would be pushing it. But as Moto explained, the offset of the rims is pretty much the most important part in this calculated risk for your wheel/strut endeavors.

So I should clear the factory strut with a +20 no problem than.. I have hp lowering springs in front now.. and they have a decent drop shouldn't look bad with some wheels.

What do you think of these sizes.. 18 x9 +25 and 18x8.5 +30 for the front.. I also have z brakes. Im going to get coilovers but I want to get wheels and paint the car first.

Yea sorry about that, you're right. It's not one of your own personal video's, but it was in your youtube favorites.

Here's the video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ijJgZWGO3VI

hahaha :lolling:

And gaehrings13, your rear wheel specs are good. Fronts (imo), should be minimum 9" wide. But it's still fine tho. I don't think a +30 offset wheel clears Z brakes tho. All depending on the rim's spoke design.

My main concern is if its going to give me problem with the factory strut.... you know how the plate comes out a lot under the spring... well the actual plate that holds the spring...
