Hey,

in the very near future im planning to buy all the parts to convert my chuki to S15...

but, being as in-experienced as i am, a few questions arose....

well, one.

with the new front end installed, I will have enough room to swap an SR, correct?

I'm almost positive i can, but you know how nothings ever easy.

Are you serious? The s13 (your car) came in japan with an sr20 stock, as did the s15 which is the front your going to, hell yes. You didn't even try and search. You can fit rb's, vq's, lsx's, whatever the hell you want, thats what makes engine swapping a 240 such a popular thing to do nowadays. Hope youhave some serious money for the conversion: http://enjukuracing.com/front-....html

Seriously though...search next time...the sr20 isn't any bigger than the ka...

before you do it, learn to weld and learn how to do bodywork well

OEM steel fenders grafted to your stock fenders above the wheel wells, that way they fit right and retain the bodylines so they flow with the car, OEM s15 radiator Core support welded in, OEM s15 headlights and brackets, OEM s15 front bumper, OEM s15 hood, and modified hood hinges

nothing inside the stock engine bay dimensions changes, all the motor swaps will still work, the headlight wiring will be a little different, other than that

PLEASE dont buy a cheap "conversion" kit, they dont fit and the fiberglass parts will crack

IMO...Highly over-rated. the s13/s14 still looks good after all these years. If I had that kind of money to put into the car's looks, I would get a really good paint job and maybe some new seats.

WHOA WHOA WHOA what's with the hate???

It's an honest question, trust me....I'm aware the S13 came stock with an SR in japan jeeeeeeeez. It was a question meant for the collective knowledge of those who have actually done the swap everything always looks good on paper, or the internet.....but that doesn't mean it's going to work out in the shop.

Heres an example:

When I first got the car it was Super HICAS, and I didn't want that. I wanted a drift car, and I wanted the HICAS subframe. So I opted to buy a HICAS bar, per the advice of NICOclub....I will never take advice from people who haven't actually done a mod I plan to do. Beeeecause, when I put that bar in it was very flimsy and dangerous so my mechanics said "F it, we'll swap the subframe". And what do you know it worked out great.

Now, if you're thinking "well why didn't you just ask your mechanics?" it's because I just felt like being more informed. :P

If you still can't comprehend, read the example again until it clicks. As for the searching, i assumed this was a very specific question, and I can go on for a while about how my not searching will in no way effect your posting experience.....but that would be off topic, so quiet you. Seriously....hold on before you flip the hater switch.

Oh, as for the $ statement....I've got no budget to follow

The front end is cosmetic only and will not affect your ability to perform any swap. You can swap in a SR now or after you do the front end swap. Whatever your priorities may be. There is no shortage of room in a 240 engine bay my friend lol. SR series RB series VG series or even LS1 V-8. Got to love a 240.
