I am highly considering buying this (link at bottom), but I want to know if this is something that is going to rust quickly (because its aluminum) and if it starts to rust, how fast will it eat away at it? I live in Michigan where there is salt in the winter so rust is kind of an issue. Thanks for your help.

ALSO, I have the stock engine in my car (1990 fastback) so it would be 2.5", correct?

A few things:

It's NOT a catalytic converter. The seller is a moron. It's a test pipe.

10-15 hp? Again, the seller is a moron. Hell, I've never tested a catback that would add 10-15 hp. His numbers are as bad as his "Engrish".

I believe OEM exhaust is 2.25".

Lastly, it says "chrome aluminum". If it is indeed aluminum, that's retarded, as aluminum does NOT make good exhaust components. It appears to me to be chromed mild steel, which means it will eventually rust.

It's also $65 AFTER shipping, which is not a smoking deal for a test pipe.

Hell, I can build you a flanged, bolt-in, high-flow catalytic converter, all emmissions-legal, for $155 shipped.

It is 2.25". I measure mine before I ordered the 2.5" BRM exhaust (thanks for the awesome turn-around time, BTW).

Yeah, if only a straight pipe would net 10-15hp. We'd all be very happy 240SX owners. Extra power is a little harder to come by on our engines. BTW, you won't be disappointed with the product AZHitman can put together for you.

I knew that it was a test pipe, but I just wanted to know if it would fit and if it would rust. I don't care about how much HP I got. AZhitman, I would definately consider buying that high flow cat from you. Ill E-mail you soon about it.
