Unlike my Audi, my G will let the car hold a gear in tip mode until you hit the rev limiter. My question is if I have accidentally let it hit the rev limit a couple times but backed off as soon as I heard it, will this result in any problems as long as I dont do it again?

While I don't suggest bouncing off the rev limiter all the time, doing so occassionally should not cause any problems.

the rev limit is where the ecu cuts off fuel...this isn't exactly what the motor can handle tho.

when i had my civic with a gsr swap i had the ecu chipped and the rev limiter was removed...well a few times i missed a gear revving the motor to probably a little over 10k and never had any problems even with a 75 shot...

so don't worry you are ok
