Question about replacing oxygen sensor

The engine is 92KA24DE, so the oxygen sensor is only one wire, My question is when I replace the oxygen sensor(the one right on the exhaust manifold) Do I have to turn the ECC the screw clockwise, then counterwise in order to replace it, or I can just replace the oxygen sensor without dealing with the ECC?

replace without dealing with the ECC. You can use the ECC to test your O2 but it's not required to turn the diagnostic screw on the ECU.

what is the ECC? to replace 02 however, just take off old, put on new. simple operation. you might have to soak it in penatrant first though
