You dont have to drain anything, all your doing is removing a few lines that contain oil and coolant, just be careful not to let anything mix.

Most people find it eaiser to install the divided housings with the turbo outside the car (I sure did)

I would also HIGHLY recommend some stainless braided lines if you are removing the whole assembly. Most kits cost around $120 and they are well worth it. the OE hardlines can be a huge PITA. I have seen too many people strip out their blocks because the couldnt line up the lines perfectly.

I would spray some penetrating oil on the exhaust studs (after cooling) a few hours before removal also. you dont want to be drilling studs out of the head if you dont have to.

When your done make sure to bleed out all the air from the coolant aswell.

Turbo Lines FTMFW!!!! Imo, they were a GREAT investment. It makes installing the turbo much easier and their pretty nice too

You will have coolant and oil come out, so my suggestion would be to have an oil pan under that area, and towels ready to go. I would pull the turbo off WITH the manifold attached.

+1. You don't have to drain the oil, but drain the coolant.

It's a line going to the coolant hose on the back of the engine. There should be a clamp that holds the hard line coming from the turbo to a soft line bridging the engine's heater lines. Breaking the banjo bolt off the turbo is doable, but a royal pain. It's easier to use a pair of long nose pliers, or in my case, a long extension and a 1/4" socket as I have worm gear clamps on mine.

And please, for the love of god stop titling your threads like crap. People can't search for information when you use lame a** titles as "I need help" or "Help a brother out"

I merged two of your threads together. You don't need two threads covering the same topic.
