question about removing transmission.

A great resource for Nissan Sentra, Infiniti G20, 200sx, Pulsar, NX1600, NX2000, Tsuru, Primera and Sunny owners.

Hi everyone, I have a 98' 200sx SE-R that I'm currently in the process of changing the clutch. My question is that when it comes time to serperate the transmission from the motor do I have to lower the motor or does the transmission just come out? I'm asking cause there doesnt seem like there much room for the transmission to seperate from the block before it hits the frame of the car.

I can only fit about a finger and half or so between the transmission and frame. Just wanna make sure the transmission shaft has enough space to pull out of the clutch and drop before I hit the frame. Anyone have any experience with this? Any help would be great.

thanks in advanceWei

There is plenty of room. The transmission will come away from the motor, then you begin to lower it to the ground.
