Wat gauge power wire should i use?

Will 4 gauge be good enough?

the bigger the better.. going with 0 myself.... remember the longer the run for the wire the more restance you have so... the bigger is defanitly the better

I think if you buy the kit from summit racing it comes with 1 gauge wire, the box and all the doodads.

My kit from Taylor came with 2 ga wire.

summit kit comes with 2 gauge, i just intalled mine.. oh and about losing resistance or something. i think u only loose a certain amount per 1000 feet for 2 gauge cable, so you shouldnt worry.

yeah my summit kit came with 2 gauge, ive had it for 2 years and it works great. so id say 2 is good.

What did you guys do with the negative wires under the hood???

i got rid of my negative cable since it wasnt grounding the engine very good (lots of rust in that area), and i just took a new cable and used that to ground the engine off of the strut tower bolt.

I used #2 welding cable. It is plenty big enough and you can get it very cheap. i got 20ft for $15

do you run the wire under the carpet or under the car ?

I would run it under the car and just ziptie it to the fuel and brake lines, that is my plan anyways.

i used 2 gauge wire from napa and i ran the wire inside the car under the carpet and i dont have to worry about hitting something and the wire catching on fire. overall it was pretty easy.
