question about rear strut bars?

i have a coupe and i want to put a rear strut bar. but cant get to them. instead of having carpet in my trunk ive got plastic. i was wondering how i should go about withy this. should i just rip the plastic off or should i just cut a piece off to expose the bolts for the strut. did anyone else ever have this problem.

all I did was to cut a hole in the plastic and it will be fine

scruffy what did you use to cut the plastic.

I just cut out two slots from the strut to the back of the liner. I cut it with a dremyl. ?sp

The slots make it easy for whenever you need to pull off the lineing. You won't have to remove the strut bar to remove the lineing.
