Im wondering if anyone else has had this issue and what they did to resolve it; when im driving on residential streets at 20 mph or less i notice a rattling type sound from the right side.

I believe its something with the wheels, it causes no vibration or noticeable effect to the cars handling but you can hear it.

I wish i could be more descriptive but i really dont know what it is, it almost sounds like metal rattling against metal, like a loose bolt on the rim.

any suggestions as to what it might be would be appreciated.

Does the sound start when you step on the gas, but go away when you let go of the gas? If so, then it is the sound of your CVT metal belt. You don't hear it at higher speed, because other louder sounds cover it up. Check out the explanation and the picture of the metal belt design: http://auto.howstuffworks.com/cvt2.htm

Its not the passenger seat belt hitting the B-Pillar is it?

When I first got the A/C there was a terrible rattle coming from the passenger side. After like 2 months I don't know if I figured it out of if I read it on here but it was the passenger belt buckle hitting the door. I fixed it by buying a new seat belt button stopper thing and just moving it up higher..see picture

I also just had this rattle that was coming from inside the door, something was loose. However it fixed itself and its not there anymore!

no its not the seatbelt, ive heard that rattle before.

I dont think its the cvt either, it will happen when im at low speeds regardless of whether i have my foot on the gas or not.

its nothing loud, i just notice it, it sounds like axle or wheel movement thats tapping something metal but its really hard to explain.

i had eibachs installed a few months back but i dont think thats the issue, anyone heard of rattling issues with suspension? axles? wheels?

I HAD SAME NOISE. IT WAS THE PLASTIC AROUND THE PASSENGER SEAT LEVER FOR MOVING THE SEAT FORWARD. PUSH IT IN TIGHT OR HAVE THE DEALER GET YOU A NEW ONE.

ALSO MAKING NOISE WERE LOOSE SCREWS ON THE BOTTOM OF THE CONSOLE. IN THE BACK SEAT LOOK DOWN NEAR THE FLOOR. THERE ARE 4 SCREWS ON THE CENTER CONSOLE.. MAKE SURE THEY ARE TIGHT. MINE WERE WICKED LOOSE.

I had the same problem , it would seem the screws in the center console come loose over time

But...

I had 2 rattles...one that seemed to be coming from the passenger side, I found out it only happened when I was wearing my sunglasses...strange! Yeah, lol, when not wearing my sunglasses...they rattle inside the overhead holder!

Also, the passenger seatback rattles when no one is stitting in it. Not sure how to remedy that?
