Question about printer ink

So I recently purchased a printer, Canon MP280 All In One.

Now the printer requires PG-210 and CL-211 ink (black/color). Now looking online I noticed they have XL models of the 210 and 211 ink. Are they compatible with my printer? Whats the deal with XL ink, do you get more ink out of it? Thanks.

Appears to be compatible and does indeed designate an extra capacity cartridge:
