Question about Powder Coating

Sooooo, im about to order some rims tomorrow but i ran in to a problem. Im gettin MRR GT-1 rims that come painted black and chrome lips. My plan was to powder coat the lips blue to match the car. I've spoken to a few powder coating companys and 1 told me if the rims r painted then he cant do them cuz it would melt (called MRR Designs thier painted) and another company told me he could do them there "shouldnt" be any problems with them because its not cheap rims. Has anyone done this or delt with rims already painted and then got powder coating done somwhere else on them, and had problems with the painted area or absolutly no problems..?? Or any1 who knows alot about Powder Coating..?? Be a greatt help thanks.

Matt, ask our powder coater in the advertisers marketplace. He might be able to give you a straight answer.
