Pretty much what the title seys . what im wondering is does a pillow ball set up have the same life span as a stock / poly bushing set up?

Take tension rods for example.

Will a pillow ball tension rod set up last longer or as long as a stock rubber / poly bushing set up befor it needs to be serviced / replaced?

I found plenty of threads on how much better a pillow ball set up feels and how it can be adjusted much better but i wasent able to find any info on the service life over one set or the other.

ty for any info

IDK about how long the life span is but i have poly bushings in mine. I've had them installed for about six years with over 110,000 miles on them already..... I drive my car alot and so far so good. Im at 250,xxx miles on my car.

I say that it depends onthe brand, and how hard they are used.

So if i buy a good brand spl / tein will they at least last as long as the stock rubber ones have lasted.

From what i can see it seems that the pillow ball section and the joining pivot rod ( part that ataches / surrounds the pillow ball ) are completly exposed to the elements. Is there any issues with the 2 mating surfaces geting chrosion on them causing pre mature wear?

Polyurathane is a much better material than rubber. Will last twice to three times as long as a rubber piece. But to be specific, the poly mounts and pillow balls will last approx. 16 yrs, 7 days and 13.4 hrs.
