Is there a safety bypass on the 95 240sx that will keep the car from sparking if you have no oil pressure?

I don't think so.

No, more than a few KA's have died from oil starvation. I recall there was someone around here who killed their motor due to lack of baffling in the OE oil pan and repeated high-G turns at the track.

Ok, I'v got the the oil pressure problem fixed, but I'm still not getting spark. I've got two mechanics stumped. One of them did get a chance to hook up a diagnostics tool to the car and we came up with code 1320 (Primary ignition system) but he did not have time to stay around and help anymore. would anyone here be able to give me some suggestions on where to check now, or maybe have seen this code and know how to fix it?

Could be me you're talking about. Granted, I have an SR20, but I killed off a motor @ willow springs a bit over a month ago.

As for answering the question at hand...i'm a bit ignorant when it comes to KA's, but is the wiring to the distributor OK?

Have you checked the codes from the ECU or is it throwing any codes? If something is wrong with in your ignition system, it will usually tell you what part is wrong (crank angle sensor, coil, etc.). You'll probably need a voltmeter and an FSM to test the coil, CAS, or any other ignition components. If you don't have an FSM, just reply and I can tell you the tolerances. Also have you tried having someone turn over the car with one of the spark plug wires close to the block to see if there's spark? That's all I can think of ...

I've suspected it's the crank angle Sensor, but I'v have not checked the ecu yet. I'v had two different distributers in it, both from running vehicles, so It's not the coil, rotor, cap, etc... I don't have a fsm so if you could tell me how to test the CAS that would be appreciated, I was just going to to put a new one in but they are $90 and I would like to know if it's bad before I buy a new one. If that's not it, any other ideas? Thanks

I checked the resistance between the terminals on the crank sensor adn had 202 ohms, so it should be good. Where else could my problem be?

From the FSM:

Possible causes are wiring, power transistor unit, resistor, CPS or CPS circuit.

Ok, I tested A and B on the FSM page and both are good, I was going to C and I decided to read the ECM codes first. I came up with code 21 (ignition signal circuit), how do I fix this code?

Sorry, I just realized that's what I was checking for on the FSM pages you put on here. I guess I'll continue on with that page.
