question about oil dipstick and TB

94 Q45, is the dipstick supposed to be straight or does it have curves? I checked the oil today and I had a hard time getting the dipstick back in. Also what is the butterfly before the TB butterfly for? Thanks

ok have to add this, I was just looking at the write up on how to clean the TB and in all the pictures the TB looks different than the one in my car (94 Q45t), first the rubber hose going to the TB and the MAF in the pics looks like it goes straight onto the TB, mine has a curved aluminum pc that houses a 2nd butterfly than the rubber intake hose connects to that, what gives?

Its the same thing, just remove that little elbow with a hex wrench and your good to go...!

also, on the dipstick, it definitely fits better when its pointed the right way. there is a small F--> on the orange finger hole to aid orientation.

I know about the arrow on the dipstick, even having the arrow oriented in the correct direction the dipstick is very hard to re-insert, was wondering if the dipstick is mostly straight or if it has curves/bends in it.
