I have a 03' G35 and i plan on upgrading to an aftermarket cd unit mainly because the original isn't working anymore

I was just wondering what people's opinions are on the oem speakers.

Should i invest in new speakers as well to go with my new unit or are the originals sufficient.

I can only listen to them from playing cassettes or radio and they seem ok to me but if upgrading to aftermarket will be a huge difference I will probably get new ones.

I just wanted to know what other g35 owners think.

If you're going with a new CD player, I'd say go for the new speakers while you're at it. Now to go with a new CD player, you need to upgrade your climate controls and the trim piece--that's going to run you about $300. Now, with that you can go with a new one that is double the size the standard size, called double din. That's the best way to do it. Otherwise you can get a standard sized CD player and find a kit to fill in the extra space as a compartment.

Speakers are probably sufficient for now, but a lot of aftermarket speakers will sound better than stock speakers. Sounds like you have the Bose, which tend to be lacking in bass, so I would recommend upgrading them as well. But you can do it later if you want to see what you think once you get the CD player in.

IMHO the Bose and non-Bose sound systems in Infiniti's since 99 have all SUCKED.
