ive seen lots of pictures of CA's not running a cam angle sensor on the front, mostly ppl that dont run the timing belt cover at all. i was wondering if this sensor is needed at all? or is there sumthing that needs to be done to eliminate it

cut the cover to hold the CAS:) I'll post pictures of this once I finish it... I have a friend cutting it with a plasma cutter, so it should follow the factory line around the CAS nicely!

why's he want to run w/o a timing cover? I can understand leaving them off during the tuning process w/ adjustable cams, but leaving them off for everyday driving would make me a little nervous.

Hey Stevie,

Everytime I see that engine, it just bring back old memories of nearly going to jail for excessive speed. What a beast! Guys, Nismoplsr has a piece of nissan heritage "173mph CA18DET"...bad***:pimp
