Hello Nissan Community,

I have a short question, a good friend of mine is doing a sr20det swap.

He own´s a S13 CA18Det (Europ. Version), and we are already in the swap process, the ca18det is already out of the car.

Now we have to combine the s13 chassis Harness to the s14 harness,...the sr20det engine harness isnt the problem because he has a whole swap package (ecu , engine harness etc.)

Has anyone done the swap already ? And which connectors has to be adapted ?

Would be very happy if anyone can give me a lil tutorial before i have to study both electrical circuit diagramms in detail :(

Many Thanks from europe ;)

You can check UK forum sxoc.com/vbb
You should find there full tutorial, how to adopt euro s13 harness with s14 harness.

These Tutorials are perfect but not all pin-numbers at the connector F4 and the wire color matches?

Detail:

-> IGN coil relay | F4 Pin 40 | Wire Color : black/red (tutorial instruction)

: In my case pin 40 has Wire Color : blue/red

-> IGN ON | F4 Pin 48 | Wire Color: brown (tutorial instruction)

: In my case pin 48 has Wire Color : black/red

Also a Problem is, this Tutorial says that for the CAS (Crank Angle Sensor), the F4 PIN 35 has to be connected to the F4 Pin 36 - both has the Wire Color : black/white (tutorial instruction)

: In my Case pin 35 and pin 36 at the F4 Connector has red coloured wires?

Has anybody a layout, in which the color matches with mine ?

The Sr20det is a left hand drive, maybe there were other colors used for europe?

I cant go on, because i wont to crack down the ECU, with wrong wire colored. Do i have to go straight on the pin Numbers or are the wire colors really important ?

Tutorial i used:

i have read in that tutorial forum written from the tutorial writer john bennet himself:
Hi, once all the wiring is done you can remove F4 and also the plugs for the S14's ABS and windscreen wipers - they'll all be spare plugs once you make the harness up. The brown box is the wiper controller from the S14.

I didn't give instructions in the guide as I didn't want to complicate things . You can strip a fair amount from the harness though
Does that mean, that i dont need the F4 Connector ? Just the F8 and the F10 ?

So i can cut it off and leave that pitchy wire mess behind me ?
