i just got a t3/t4 garrett turbo.. but some reason it doesnt fit on my turbo manifold... the holes line up but is off by a little bit... is it ok to dremel the hole a little bigger??? or is that a bad idea?? any technique i should know about?

Just drill it to fit. Just make sure you don't have to drill too much to get into the gasket area. Did it come with your turbo? If so call the place you bought it.If you bought a cheap ebay manny, then it is probably just not drilled quite right.Either way I'd drill it.

I would weld up a whole new mani

Naw just drill the holes a little bigger till it fits like stated all ready unless the holes are threaded then drill them but make sure that nuts will fit underneath the flange.good luck

I got a bottom mount from the bay, and let me tell you, those little Chinese kids can tig weld with the best of them. I'm a welder by trade and these are some good looking welds, but mine fit without any problem.Maybe the kid that drills the holes was sick when they did yours. lol

No way lol, i had one of those manifolds too the tigs are sloppy. This is what someone whos good with a tig welder's stuff looks like.. Thats the best picture i had to show you.

Most people who use a tig machine use the filler rod like they are stick welding, thats how the chinese manifolds look. Your welds are actualy stronger if you use the least filler rod as possible, and they look better.

You get what you pay for, i think however the chinese manifolds would hold up fine if you brace them from the exhaust/head flange to the turbo t3/t4 flange itself, and use some flex pipe on your exhaust system.

I've been welding stainless and aluminum for nearly 20 years so I know a good weld when I see it. I'm not even sure mine is from China or not, it came with a kit so not sure where or who it came from. And I don't care.I'm going to post some pics of my set up in a day or so and I'll try to include a good shot of some of the welds. Maybe I just got lucky and got a good one?

well i was gettin the nuts for my manifold at an auto parts store and the old guy that work there told me it was a good manifold because of the weld... i dont think mine is from ebay tho cus the guy that build my motor basically did everything himself... i guess i just have to dremel the hole from my turbo a little bigger to make it fit..
