need some info, i got the megan header for my ka motor and before i change out my stock header i notice there is a pipe right below the place the header and block connect(not the o2 sensor either), i'm not sure if it is a emissions part or something more important cause it follows behind the engine block to the other side??? what is it??? thanks in advance

If it's going around the back of the engine, that's the EGR.

yup yup, you can either have a bung welded on for that or you need to cap it off.

Or he can hook it up to the new header..That is if the tread size are the same..I know on some aftermaket headers for the ka,People have a hell of a time hooking up the egr..On my hotshot i used to have the egr port was the exact same tread as stock though. Not to sure on the Megen stuff.

EGR tube fit on my Hotshot Header (KA24DE) just fine. Getting it off the stock manifold required lots of PB Blaster and a huge open ended wrench. After that, just a bit of muscle to get it on the new header.

sweet guys thanks for the help,

i figured since i had the transmission down replacing my clutch i could sneak my header in while i have more room than normal, i think i will just cap it off but it looks on my new header it has a connector so if it can't fit i will cap it!!!

thanks guys again!!!!
