which bolt? well regardless, if it's something like a strut, I'd say probably not safe.

definitely not safe. As with any bolt you can probably find it in a JIS fastener kit. Go to auto zone or something and ask them, they're usually good about finding little nitpicky bolts and stuff.

Sounds to me like its off the upper strut mount. Get a new one. And no, its not safe to just have 2 of the 3.

It doesnt even look like u have springs on that mount. In that case, it would DEFINATELY be cheaper to just buy a new mount than have a shop weld a new thread onto it. Just buy a new mount and be done with!!

for better handling, you may want to consider pillowball plates but not necessary.

I bought a new top hat for my 92 from advaced auto parts for $50.00. then returned it and got a pair of Tien camber plates(pillow ball mounts) for 160.00. I broke the weld on the bottom side of one of the bolts from the old top hat. I have yet to meet a bolt my breaker bar wont remove, or break!

im thinking about getting a camber plate later down the road.

the broken bolt screwed on fine. i lost a nut. what size are the nuts? i need to go buy a nut.

when im coming to a stop..i hear a rubbing noise. what could it be? could the missing screw be causing it to make that noise?im going to get an alignment later on today so i hope it'll fix whatever it is thats making the noise

I dont know about the noise, but the bolt should be a 10mm 1.25 pitch, if IIRC

can you hammer or drill the broken stud out and replace it with a nut and bolt? seems the easiest and cheapest solution to me.

You can, but there is now way to tighten it once you have it installed back into the car (dont have enough room to get a wrench in on it).

I used some JB Weld (I know, I know) to hold mine for a temp fix, so I could tighten the nut with out the bolt turning too. but that was a temp fix, and I dont really recomend it.

I would just get 2 new top hats (or camber plater/pillow ball if you like), if it is the orginal they are probably worn out anyway.
