Question about Maintenance and Warranty

Hi all,

I am a first time car buyer and bought a versa 2009 last year. I was convinced to buy extended warranty for 5 years 100,000 miles....=__=, terrible mistakes..
Is my warranty will be voided if I don't go for maintenance? If yes, any way could help me to minimize my maintenance expense and keep my warranty effective?

one more question: is it necessary to use my car dealer to do the service? if not, any suggestion on car service provider please?

If you plan to do your own service, or have another place do it, keep your receipts and dociment who did it, when it's done, etc. I'm not an expert but this is what I am doing.

I am currently reach the maintenance schedule of 15000 miles or 1 year....The lists of maintenance seems so complicate and I probably cannot do it myself.
