whats up car buddies..I posted a while ago about MAF problems.

Turns out cleaning the unit itself with lectra motive and sanding down the male and female adaptor parts and applying some dielectric grease was only a temporary fix; there was still stalling and the emissions smelled like ***. Long story short i needed a new MAF and was able to get the whole thing brand new for 300 which i thought was a deal considering the infiniti dealership's offer of 585. The only problem is the pigtail wires are pretty shot 2, we tested the integrity and its not very strong, plus the rpms r still kinda jumpy minus the stalling.

i hooked up a temporary wire for now but was able to find a new pigtail to a 300zx for very cheap. The adaptor is different (4 prongs)

can i still use it.?? If not where can i get a new one or at least a new adaptor? i dont trust used parts especially buying online sight unseen

Thanx guys n e insight on this would b appreciated

Or you could just get the updated plug. Should not cost you too much. I got mine for $20. Had it installed for $10

Gee, you said you already thought of that!

We need a "Must engage brain to post" rule.

No need to be a jack-hole when asking for advice.

Especially when it is correct and when one is incapable of spelling the three letter pronoun "you".

If you call in person and talk to Joe, he can tell you about the new plug and pins he has available for like $25.

It can be very hard to reach Joe. Your odds of winning the lottery might be better. That doesn't mean that there aren't any other people working there that are nice and helpful too.
