i have a set of wheels one of which that has the lug stud holes a little "ovular". i dont have a 5 lug car to test it out on ( i was given these wheels) but i did have an extra stud laying around that i put into the hole to see just how different it is from the other normal holes. Well a lug nut over the stud would still have an area to "grab onto the wheel" but i'm wondering if it will mess up the studs. Will there be a back and forth play on the stud even though the nut is hold the wheel tight on there? Would a washer placed between the lug nut and the wheel help? if this isnt a good idea, is there a way to repair the wheel? i hope i conveyed this idea well, im not sure how to describe it any better lol.
here is a picture i found online of a hole with the similar problem.
