I lowered my car to the point that when I turn, my tire rubs on the plastic trim inside the wheel well. I know I need to take the plastic out and relocate the harness at this point. My question is, if i take out this plastic, is the area behind going to rust? Is there anything I can do to keep debris from stock piling in my fender by my door?

Don't remove the plastic fender well.

Remove the fender liner.Cut the fender liner so that it will block debris from getting into the door area.Re-install the cut half.

No it won't rust, it's painted.

Why not just undercoat the inner fender area after removing it if you're that worried about rust. It's a 90's japanese car it's going to eventually rust no matter what you do.

+1 on the 1/2 cut fender liner. thats what i did. once you go low enough you may not be able to use em. then the undercoating would be best.

My wheels rub at full lock too, not a big deal. I'd rather have them than not. My wiring harness is tucked too.

My tires rub the frame at full lock. If that doesn't happen then you're doing it wrong.

If you do remove the plastic liner you should undercoat the area. I sanded, primed, then used duplicolor roll on bedliner with a brush and coated the entire area. Cost about 25 bucks total.
